Richard F. Guyott, Sr., 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in Holyoke.
He was born in Holyoke on January 23, 1939 to the late Leo Guyott and Lena (Perron) Guyott. Richard served in the National Guard. Prior to his retirement he worked for many years in building maintenance.
During his leisure time he enjoyed country music, western movies, trips out for ice cream, playing Keno, and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Albert; sister, Jeanette; and daughter, Michelle. He leaves behind his loving children: Marilyn (Ghislain) Turgeon of Southampton, Richard Guyott Jr., of Holyoke, and Sharon (James) Baranowski of Florence; his former wife, Gladys Guyott of Holyoke; his grandchildren: Lexi, Evan, Joli, Alexandria, Nicholas, Jake and Jenna; his sister, Cecile, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Yesenia Greeff and Liz, RN, of Baystate Gastroenterology for all their guidance throughout the years, and the staff of Baystate Hospice for their loving care.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23rd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a brief prayer service. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery, also in Holyoke.
